Even though this is a Christian based counseling program, we are happy to work with couples of any faith. We use the Bible as a gentle guide, not a harsh rules book.<\/span><\/p>\n

Couples can choose between 3, 4, or 5 day retreats based on their circumstances or their goals.<\/p>\n

For six months after your experience, we offer complimentary phone and email support because we want to be there for you even after you leave. If you find you need further assistance, we provide paid follow-up programs, online counseling, and small group support that may be ideal for you.          Over 80% of our couples come from outside the state of North Carolina.<\/p>\n

         Yes. Once your dates are confirmed and you have secured your payment, you will receive a welcome e-mail with further instructions. Our location is disclosed at this time as well as hotel options nearby. You will be asked to each individually fill out a “Confidential Questionnaire” and e-mail it back to us prior to our time together. Also, we suggest that you do not discuss your issues prior to the Intensive. Give yourself a mental break so you can be better equipped for your retreat.<\/p>\n

         Yes. If there has been any physical violence in the past 12 months, or if a spouse is currently addicted to a substance, Intensive Counseling may not be the best fit for you.             Our Intensive Retreat typically consists of:<\/p>\n

            We will schedule you for a four hour block of counseling per day. After a quick rest and dinner break, a couple has another 2 to 2.5 hours of homework to do back at the hotel after dinner there is also morning homework involved.<\/p>\n

             <\/p>\n

            Please make sure to get good rest as this is will be a long day. We also ask you to talk about your disagreements or start new ones during the days of your intensive so we can be of most help to your situation.<\/p>\n

            Since we see only one couple at a time, we unfortunately can\u2019t include food and lodging. Our cost reflects this and gives you the flexiblity to stay and dine how you choose. After a couple schedules, we send them info on nearby hotels, and restaurants abound in the Charlotte area!<\/span><\/p>\n

            Currently, we don’t accept insurance. Insurance companies typically don’t pay for intensive\u00a0counseling they pay for traditional one-hour-a-week counseling.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

            No, you don’t have to stay at a hotel. However, we strongly recommend staying in a hotel for the following reasons:<\/p>\n

            • We want you to get away from all your day-to-day responsibilities, ie. kids, dishes, work etc.<\/li>\n
            • We beleive that this is an important time for you. Therefore, we want you to have more<\/span> time focusing on just your spouse.<\/li>\n
            • You will have a much fuller experience when you stay in a hotel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
